PSA Project

My crew for this video consisted of 4 seniors and 1 junior (aka me). The concept we came up with was cheating with plot twist. We made it look like the boyfriend was cheating ON her but then we revealed that he was cheating OFF her on. When we chose production roles, we collaborated what we wanted to do and what our skills are. We also outlined what each role would be responsible for before we committed to that role. I got the role of production designer which meant I was in charge of where we filmed and I helped with the set designer on creating the theme of the sets. After our whole team collaborated and had key idea os the film, our director made the script. Every crew member helped with casting and reached out to possible candidates. Once our actors agreed on doing the film, we agreed on a time and place. The actual set designing and filming took about 4 hours. Each member of the team knew how to work the equipment very well which helped the shooting go faster. While on set, I helped with the sound and I learned a lot about the zoom mic which helped me realize I want to do sound on all my projects. Editing was very difficult because I had to find the right audio files to match the shots I wanted to use. Once I found the right audio files, editing was fun.

During the time we started brainstorming to editing, my crew was very good at communicating. Unfortunately, our cinematographer couldn't make the shoot date so our editor was our new cinematographer. When I didn't understand a use of equipment, my crew helped me and showed me how to use it instead of just telling me I'll learning from watching. We got 4 days of editing because we got our filming done at an early time. If I could change anything, I would as what everyone's schedule was so that everyone could make it. I loved the way we worked together, though, on the set. We made sure everyone's news were shown in the final edit. I hope I can be the head sound producer for my next project.

I really enjoyed making this film and working with my crew. The video above is my own edit but out group has a head editor that did much better. I'm definitely satisfied with my finished edit, though.
